In the previous post, we learned how to INSTAGRAMize our picture using curve adjustment layer via photoshop. Now we will learn another curve adjustment combination to make our picture looked LOMOcified.
Below is the original picture used in this post
To lomocify the picture do the following steps:
1. Lomo Curve Adjustment Layer
Put a curve adjustment layer above the Background layer by selecting "Layer>New adjustment layer>Curves..." and put the following points in their respective channel.
Channel | Point | Input | Output |
Red | 1 | 222 | 252 |
Red | 2 | 163 | 196 |
Red | 3 | 128 | 128 |
Red | 4 | 59 | 36 |
Green | 1 | 148 | 180 |
Green | 2 | 65 | 63 |
Blue | 1 | 255 | 209 |
Blue | 2 | 0 | 46 |
(If you still dont understand how to add points in the curve adjustment layer, then you should practice with this or that post)
the curves should look like this
2. Reduce Contrast
This step is optional. If your original image is sufficiently contrast, then the curve adjustment layer will increase the contrast. To reduce the contrast, add the following point to the RGB channel.
Channel | Point | Input | Output |
RGB | 1 | 191 | 176 |
RGB | 2 | 64 | 79 |
Done!
here is the final result.
i think green curve is not right?
ReplyDeleteit should be 148, 180 instead of 148, 80 (typo?)
and 65, 63 should be around 50, 46 (judge from your ss)
Thank you very much katopz todsaporn.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it should be 148, 180 instead of 148, 80.
It is a little typo but the result will significantly different.
The 65, 63 is correct, but you can also use 50, 46 since the resulting curve is similar
